Ellen Giggenbach designed our new Summer Garden story. She was born in Germany, and currently resides in a lovely little seaside village in Wellington, New Zealand. Ellen has enjoyed playing around with fabric prints for many years. She studied graphic design in Vienna and completed a graphic design Diploma with distinction at Wellington Polytechnic. Her design style is best described as graphic, with 50’s to 70’s influences, and always colourful. Ellen loves listening to her customers and bases many of her designs off their feedback and requests. She also draws inspiration from seeing characterful birds in the bush and her collection of vintage mid-century children books, which are full of bright colours and character illustrations. When Ellen is not crafting and developing new ideas for designs, you can find her spending time in nature, in the bush or at the beach.
